Crock pot meals are a wonderful thing, the give me time to get out of the kitchen and enjoy my family.
This dish has so many wonderful flavors and the apples give it a hint of sweetness. It is guaranteed to satisfy even your picky eaters.
1 1/2 lbs Chicken, frozen or fresh (I use thighs in the crock pot they come out more juicy)
1/2 lb Kielbasa Sausage, diced
1 cup Bacon, cooked and crumbled
1/2 Onion, sliced
6 cloves Garlic, minced
1 tsp Black Pepper
2 tbs Italian Seasoning
2 Apples, diced (for a slightly sweeter taste, substitute one pear for one apple)
2 cups Kale, diced
2 tbs Bacon Drippings
Place all of the above ingredients in the slow cooker or crock pot. Cook on high for 6 hours (if chicken is frozen) or 4 hours (if chicken is fresh).
