I was at the store trying to find a oriental sauce that I could use. There were some that were gluten free and looked promising until I read the ingredient list and realized that sugar is the first ingredient. I love how they try and make it sound healthy by saying that it is “organic sugar” sugar is sugar. I left the store defeated, realizing that I had to come up with my own seasonings for dinner. I am glad I did because I ended up with a real keeper, the kids were asking for thirds.
2 Tbs Sesame Oil
1 1/2-2 Lbs Beef, cubed or sliced
6 cloves Garlic, minced
1/2 Sweet Onion, diced
3 Green Onions, sliced
1 Tsp Black Pepper
1 Tsp Sea Salt
2 Tbs Sesame Seeds
3 Carrots, diced
1/4 head of Cabbage, sliced
2 stalks of Celery, sliced
2 cups Broccoli
- In a large skillet heat the sesame oil on medium heat. Place the sliced or diced beef in skillet along with garlic, sweet onions, green onions, sea salt, and black pepper. Add 1 Tbs of sesame seeds to the beef.
- Once the meat is browned add in carrots, cabbage, celery, and broccoli. Simmer until the veggies are soft. Top with 1 Tbs sesame seeds and serve.
