It’s a proven fact that bacon makes everything taste better. If you want your kids to eat their veggies, cook them with bacon. I bet they’ll not only love them, they’ll ask for seconds!
2 TBSP bacon grease
1/4 onion, sliced or diced
1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
3 cups any combination of (fresh or frozen) broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, and or squash
Sea salt and black pepper to taste
- Melt bacon grease in a skillet, saute onions and bacon pieces.
- Add veggies, put lid on and let it cook on medium to high heat for 10-15 minutes.
- Stir frequently, salt and pepper when done.
